Beefcake Ben

Beefcake Model Ben

These are from a photo shoot that I did in Los Angeles.. well that I organized. I directed it basically and had another guy taking the pictures. I was supposed to have another photographer doing the photos.. but he was too busy and couldn’t do it. That guy would later end up winning an Oscar ! So I guess that I can understand why he was so busy. These pictures would have turned out very differently no doubt.

This beefcake model went by the name of Ben at the time. We had rented some studio space on Melrose avenue for the day. We had 8 or 10 guys scheduled for that day.. which seems like a lot now. But all the models showed up with the exception of one. It was busy day.

Ben was very professional. He was very quiet from what I can remember. He already had a few gay beefcake videos on his resume.. so he was seasoned. We had some t-shirts for him to wear but most the pictures were shirtless.

These were for a promotional gig that was supposed to be used for another website in London. Unfortunately none of the material ended up getting used because the deal fell through. I figured I would show them anyway since there was a lot of work involved in putting these all together.

This who photo shoot didn’t take very long because we had some many guys lined up. I think that whole thing took less than 1 hour and a half.

Like I said Ben was very easy to work with and able to smile on cue and took direction very easily. The only mishap happened when he was changing. Because the space on Melrose had a ‘For Rent’ sign on the door, a couple of women popped their head. Unfortunately, they came in right when Ben was changing.. so they got an eyeful. I am sure they are probably still telling that story until this day.
